Relationships
I am a long time fan of Sara Evans. I love their music, and I enjoyed them dancing on the TV show "Dancing with the Stars", so I was anxious to read her debut novel. The Sweet By and By is a joint effort by Sara Evans and Christian Romance Writer, Rachel Hauck, so I do not know how much is really the story of Sarah's but I know I enjoyed reading it. I had no idea about who could write Multi-talented Evans - and write so well. It is a story of redemption, reconciliation, and relationships - a couple in love, mother and daughter and their relationship with God. It is a bittersweet story that tugs at your heart. You may want a box of tissues.
Jade Fitzgerald, freedom has a thriving vintage antique shops and it is about a man she loves marry, Maxwell, Charles Benson, a lawyer from Whisper Hollow, Tennessee. But Jade is worried and lack of confidence. Max comes from a wealthy family and Jade feel insecure and unworthy of them. When they leave the house ten years ago in college they can bury a sordid past, and she has lied to Max about their past and their parents. Jade future mother-in-law, wants a fussy woman named June, inviting her to her mother to the wedding, and she gives in. When Jade's hippie mother, Beryl and her wild younger sister, is the Willow show three weeks before the bridal Jade forced confront old wounds - an absent father, a peripatetic mother and the rejection of his first love. Beryl is heartbreaking secret of his own, and Max has unloaded luggage.
The story is perhaps predictable and a bit pathetic, but it will suck, so I am. It is a fast and engaging with the southern flavor, it does not flow smoothly, you think it was to read written by two people. The authors deal with issues of forgiveness and closure, and withdraw admirably credible. The family dynamics are realistically portrayed and are the wrong characters brought to life with very real feelings. I was able to connect with Jade and Beryl in contact. Flashbacks from the past to add this emotional depth page turner and, ultimately, will satisfy. A reading group guide. It is a thought-provoking read, I strongly recommend it.
The book is provided free of charge, for review and examination of my own objective view.
